Lisa Renee McCombs attended New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology to obtain a Petroleum Engineering degree. However, life deemed more rewarding when helping others to obtain their goals. Therefore, an insurance business was launched utilizing 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. She founded Academy Insurance School-Chicago, Illinois and 1st Academy School of Insurance-Las Vegas, Nevada. 1st Academy is a provider of pre-licensing insurance education which prepares one to successfully pass the state exam for Life, Health, Property & Casualty lines of insurance.
 Robert Marks has been in the life insurance business since 1954, starting on a debit with Commonwealth Insurance Company and later in 1958 he became an agent for John Hancock Life Insurance Company. After twenty years with Hancock, Robert pursued an independent status and went into the “ordinary” operation of the life insurance field. He moderated LUTC for sixteen years and has been an instructor in Pre-licensing Life and Health classes for 13 yeas. He continues his career in life insurance as an independent producer.  Shirley Joneshas been in the insurance industry for 14 years, starting with one of Chicago’s largest insurance company CNA Insurance. She attended American Business Institute where she received her degree in Business, since then her degree has been very rewarding to her in corporate America, especially in the insurance industry. Later she continued her education to become an Instructor for Pre-licensing in the areas of Property & Casualty also Life, Accident & Health. Her goal is to successfully prepare one to pass the State Exam. Shirley is a firm believer that Insurance is a universal language that touches everyone’s life.
LaToya Mills has been a member of the Academy Insurance School family since 2004. She has spent most of her career in Administration. She’s an Alumni and holds a certificate of completion from Taylor Business Institute. LaToya is a hardworking individual with exceptional computer and general office skills. She enjoys developing a rapport with others that allows her the opportunity to troubleshoot making beneficial decisions not only for herself & her family but, also for the Academy family as well.
